Fresh frozen tissue to fixed tissue sections protocol

1. Specimens are transferred to cryostat and cut into thin (5-30m) sections.
2. Specimens are collected on clean poly-L-lysine-coated glass slides and are left at room temperature until completely dry.
3. Sections are then fixed in acetone (ice cold) or absolute ethanol at 4°C for 15 minutes.
4. The slides are then thoroughly allowed to air-dry at room temperature.
