October 22 and November 19 at 6-7:30 | Floor 2 of the Duan Family Center for Computing & Data Sciences

Do you have a project idea that you know would shake up the marketplace? Now is your time to show it off, get feedback, and brainstorm with your peers at Code & Tell. Think of Code & Tell as an open-mic night for student makers. Whether it’s a hyper semantic search tool for ghost stories, a review app for BU Dining Menus, or the first spark of a startup idea—all ideas are welcome!

DS+X Hackathon


October 25 at 9 AM – October 26 at 3 PM | Floor 2 of the Duan Family Center for Computing & Data Sciences

Innovate across disciplines this October at BU: AI, art, wellness, bioinformatics, and beyond. Team up, build fast, and turn big ideas into reality in just one weekend at the DS+X Hackathon.

Demo Day


December 11 at 3-7 PM | Floor 1 and 2 of the Duan Family Center for Computing & Data Sciences

At the end of each semester, Spark! partners with the BU Cross-College Challenge (XCC) to host Demo Day as part of the Experiential Learning Expo. During Demo Day, you’ll have the opportunity to witness feats of innovation, visit project demo stations, and vote on your favorite project, as students reveal the projects they’ve spent a semester working on.
