Greetings! My name is Matt Lally, and I am a board-certified general psychiatrist and addiction medicine specialist. I have been a psychiatrist for a long time. I’ve had the opportunity to work in several different clinical settings in my career, including college health and it is a privilege to be on the staff at BU Student Health Services.
As a psychiatrist my goal is to understand each person’s experience, perspective, values, and challenges – and then see if I can be helpful. I see it as my responsibility to help people feel welcome, valued, and understood. It is also my responsibility to discuss evidence-based options, as well as provide any explanations needed, so that students can feel informed and empowered in their healthcare decisions.
