Christopher Hallett
Staff Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, I provide psychiatric evaluation, medication management, and collaborative mental health care for university students. The college years are a time of growth, self-discovery, and transition, and I enjoy supporting students as they navigate this time. Before nursing, I worked with adolescents and young adults with mental health challenges in schools, hospitals, and shelters. My approach to mental health treatment is guided by the bio-psycho-social-spiritual model, recognizing that emotional well-being is shaped by the complex interplay of biological, psychological, social, and spiritual or personal factors.
I strive to create a warm, inclusive, and nonjudgmental environment where students feel heard and empowered to participate in their care. My clinical interests include mood disorders, trauma-related disorders, and neurodevelopmental conditions, including ADHD and autism. I value partnering with students to develop individualized treatment plans that support growth, resilience, and overall well-being.
