Amanda Matte

I am a clinical social worker with almost 15 years of experience working with diverse populations and age groups in community mental health settings, hospitals, and now at Boston University. During the time I have been at BU Student Health, I have found joy in being a part of the college experience for students. I feel honored that students feel comfortable to sit with me, talk about their experiences, and plan steps forward. I have also had the pleasure to be a support to graduate student interns who have been in our program, which has provided me with additional perspective to life at BU. I most enjoy this work as I remember how important these years can be in shaping a person’s future and being a part of this journey is very special. If I had the opportunity to speak to my college self, I would remind her to enjoy every moment as best you can and that you are always in the driver’s seat of your life.

Personal Hobbies
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, friends, and dog Leo. I enjoying being active, spending time outside, and reading.
