Courtney Fernandes

Athletic Trainer

I grew up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and moved to Boston in 2022 to complete BU’s athletic training residency in orthopedics. Since graduating in May 2024, I have been grateful to continue working in the department. My clinical interests include managing long-term injuries, optimizing rehabilitation, and utilizing functional outcome measures to guide injury recovery and return-to-play decisions. I have experience working across various sports, including softball, rowing, and lacrosse, and enjoy collaborating in a team-based healthcare setting to enhance patient outcomes. Outside of work, I love exploring the Northeast, hiking, discovering new restaurants in and around Boston and traveling to spend time with my brothers.
