AT Residency & Fellowship Programs
The Athletic Training Residency and Fellowship programs for Certified Athletic Trainers deliver educational and clinical experiences for advanced career development.
Athletic Training seeks highly motivated individuals grounded in evidence-based practice for the positions of Resident and Fellow Athletic Trainer. These 21-month experiences include:
- Mentorship and collaborative practice in an inter-professional environment
- Interaction with a varied patient population
- Completion of a rigorous didactic curriculum
The Residency and Fellowship programs are both accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE).
Program Mission
Develop and educate advanced-level athletic training clinicians whose practice is patient-centered, guided by evidence, and advances the profession of athletic training and healthcare through clinical practice and scholarship.
Program Vision
Produce advanced-level clinicians who will be progressive leaders nationally in their residency/fellowship areas, with a focus on prevention, diagnosis, and intervention of injuries and illnesses of an orthopedic/neurologic nature.
