The Kitchen Essentials

When you are moving into an apartment/house for the first time and you walk into a completely empty kitchen, it can be overwhelming thinking about what you should buy to cook the meals you regularly have. Here is a list of some essentials that we recommend be in your kitchen, and without breaking your wallet!

  • Stockpot
  • 2 and 4 quart pans with lids
  • Non-stick pan (these generally get about 6 months use before they need to be replaced)
  • Sauté pan (good for meats)
  • Strainer
  • Chef’s knife
  • Paring knife
  • Filet knife
  • Culinary scissors
  • Mixing bowls
  • Measuring cups and spoons
  • Grater
  • Salad Spinner
  • Cutting Board
  • Slow cooker
  • Sanitation wipes

This list may seem overwhelming, but shop around on some stores like Amazon or TJ Maxx, and you will be able to find lots of inexpensive, quality options. Happy cooking!
