Vivek joined Boston University in 2021 to lead research collaboration efforts with industry within the interdisciplinary Computing and Data Sciences domain. As part of the Corporate Research & Contracting office, his primary role is to identify opportunities for collaboration among industry innovators and BU faculty in areas of shared interest – and to nurture, support, and help grow them to their full potential. With 30 years of experience in corporate strategy, product development, business development, equity investing, and M&A, Vivek’s work has spanned the software, hardware, media, telecom, healthcare, and management consulting industries across three continents and from startups to large corporations.
Vivek received a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Bombay, an M.S.M.E. from Purdue University, and an M.B.A. from the Sloan School of Management at MIT.
