Associate Vice President, Research Compliance

Ms. Mellouk was appointed in June 2014, after serving in the interim role for one year. She has been with Boston University’s Research Compliance office since 2006, serving as the director of IACUC Affairs and then executive director of research integrity & assurance prior to assuming her current role. She is responsible for ensuring a research environment across Boston University’s Charles River and Medical Campuses that promotes safety, integrity, and ethical behavior and abides by the evolving regulations and requirements established by federal, state, and local funding agencies. She leads the development and implementation of institutional programs and operational strategies for all non-financial regulatory compliance issues governing research to ensure that current University policies and procedures are sufficient to minimize and prevent risk of non-compliance.

Ms. Mellouk received a BA in biology from Boston University and a master of public administration from the University of Michigan’s Gerald Ford School of Public Policy.
