Funding Opportunity: Klingenstein Third Generation Foundation Fellowship Program

NOMINATION DEADLINE: November 30, 2021. Fellowships are awarded to outstanding post-doctoral candidates who are investigating the causes, prevention, and treatment of child and adolescent ADHD and depression. The Fellowship supports two-year research projects that could lead to federal funding and other national research awards. The Foundation wants this research to produce direct and tangible benefits to children and their families, while supporting promising young scientists in building their careers.

Limited Submission Funding Opportunity: 2022 Moore Inventor Fellows

INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINE: October 14, 2021. The Moore Inventor Fellowship supports scientist-inventors who create new tools and technologies with a high potential to accelerate progress in the foundation’s areas of interest: scientific discovery, environmental conservation and patient care. The foundation will allocate a total of nearly $34 million through 2026 to support 50 Moore Inventor Fellows – five fellows per year for ten years, beginning in 2016.

INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINE: September 13, 2021. The World Laureates Forum (WLF) is the highest-profile scientific conference in Asia and the foremost global scientific gathering of prize-winners, including laureates of the Nobel Prize, Wolf Prize, Lasker Award, Turing Award and etc. The Forum aims to “Promote Basic Science, Advocate for International Cooperation and an Open Exchange of Ideas, and Support the Development of Youth”. INTERNAL MATERIALS DEADLINE: October 1, 2022. This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is designed to support highly integrated research teams of three to six PDs/PIs to address ambitious and challenging research questions that are important for the mission of NIGMS and are beyond the scope of one or two investigators. Collaborative program teams are expected to accomplish goals that require considerable synergy and managed team interactions. Project goals should not be achievable with a collection of individual efforts or projects. Teams are encouraged to consider far-reaching objectives that will produce major advances in their fields.
