Professor Cockburn work on economics of innovation, intellectual property, productivity measurement, industrial organization, and applied econometrics. He has a special interest in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and health care industries. He is also a Research Associate at the National Bureau of Economic Research in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
