Hank Fien, PhD, is the Nancy H. Roberts Professor of Educational Innovation in the Teaching & Learning Department at Boston University Wheelock College of Education & Human Development. Fien’s research explores early reading and early mathematics interventions for diverse learners in school settings. His work is focused on scaling up evidence-based practices in schools and better understanding the ecological factors that support or hinder the use of evidence. His recent work seeks to blur the edges between the physical and virtual classroom to extend learning opportunities to children across a broader platform. He has authored over 100 peer-reviewed articles and chapters and has generated over $100M in research and innovation awards throughout his career.
