Dr. Apostolos Ampountolas, Ph.D., CQF, FHEA, is an Assistant Professor of Hospitality Finance and the Chair of Graduate Programs at SHA. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of Exeter, UK, and a Certificate of Quantitative Finance from the CQF Institute. With over 18 years of experience in the travel and hospitality industry, Dr. Ampountolas specializes in pricing optimization models and revenue performance. His academic focus includes revenue management and pricing optimization models, finance and data analytics, risk management, forecasting, financial analysis, investment behavior, and big data analyses using machine learning. He has been published in leading journals such as the International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management, Tourism Economics, and the Journal of Risk and Financial Management. Dr. Ampountolas is an active member of the International Institute of Forecasters (IIF), the Association of Accountants and Financial Professionals in Business (IMA), and the INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Section.
