Allison Collins

Assistant Professor of Psychiatry, School of Medicine

Allison Collins is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the Boston University School of Medicine.  She is a staff psychologist at the VA Boston Healthcare System and is the VA Boston MOVE! Weight Management Program Coordinator.  She received her Ph.D. in clinical psychology and industrial/organizational psychology from Bowling Green State University.

Dr. Collins completed a predoctoral internship at the Boston Consortium in Clinical Psychology and completed her postdoctoral fellowship training at the VA Boston Healthcare System.  Her areas of expertise are in health psychology and weight management.  She provides clinical training to psychology interns and post-doctoral fellows and is engaged in ongoing MOVE! weight management program development and evaluation, including development of the VA Boston interdisciplinary bariatric surgery program.  Her research interests are in the areas of health promotion, weight management and telehealth.  She is currently funded by the Department of Veterans Affairs.
