BOSTON UNIVERSITY POLICE CRIME ALERT: THEFTS FROM PARKED VEHICLES

Please see detailed information below regarding recent thefts that occurred near campus that may affect members of the BU community.

Incidents:

BUPD is aware of three incidents which occurred on Wednesday, 08/14/2024 involving theft of property from motor vehicles parked in the area of lower Bay State Rd. near 610 Beacon St. The windows of the broken and personal property were taken from the vehicles. The vehicles had the windows broken and personal property was taken in each case.

Summary of Facts:

Police are investigating if these incidents are related.

BUPD is alerting the community to this situation for your safety and awareness. BUPD is asking the community to call us at 617-353-2121 immediately if you observe any suspicious behavior.

Suspect:  The suspect in these cases have not been identified.

Follow-up:  The Boston University Police Detective Unit is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding these incidents and is encouraging anyone who may have information to come forward and contact the Boston University Police at 617-353-2121.
