Provost Mentor Fellows Program
This Professional Development & Postdoctoral Affairs program is in collaboration with the Offices of Graduate Affairs, Research, and Diversity & Inclusion.
The Provost Mentor Fellows program is designed to promote and highlight faculty excellence in mentoring. Participants in this selective cohort-based program will join a community of faculty committed to deepening their mentoring practices and identifying new mentoring strategies. Enrollment in the program implies a commitment by the participating faculty member to attend all of the sessions, as well as read pre-meeting materials, complete program evaluations and other assignments. Total time commitment per session will not exceed 2.5 hours including all pre-work and in-session workshop time.

Since attendance and participation is crucial to the success of the program, please check your calendars to make sure that you can attend all the sessions before applying. The deadline for applications is Friday, September 8, 2023. Faculty accepted into the program will be notified of their acceptance by Friday, September 15, 2023.
Applications should be submitted using the form below and consist of:
- A “biosketch” of no more than two pages, including contact information, education, and a summary of scholarship
- A cover letter of no more than one page that describes your current experiences in mentoring (if any), what mentoring issues are of interest or concern to you, and reasons for wanting to participate in the program
- A letter of support from your department chair, or dean (if a chair is applying)
- Sample mentoring plan (optional)
