Carl Toney Student Society

The BU PA student society was formed in July 2014, named in honor of Carl Toney, PA. The mission and bylaws have been approved by the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (SAAAPA) and have been submitted for approval by the Office of Student Affairs at Boston University.

Our society will work in collaboration with the Graduate Medical Sciences Student Organization (GMSSO), the Student Committee on Medical School Affairs (SCOMSA) and the Student Academy of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (SAAAPA) to develop PA student activities, promote the PA profession in the BU and Boston communities, and foster leadership opportunities for our students.

As a student chapter of the SAAAPA, initiatives related to public service, improving access to health care through diversity and legislative advocacy are major focuses of the student society.
