Andrew Garcia, MPH, is a PhD student in the Pharmacology, Physiology & Biophysics department, pursuing a PhD in Biomolecular Pharmacology. He earned his Master of Public Health (MPH) from Emory University in 2018, a Bachelor of Science in Biology with a concentration in Developmental Genetics from Stony Brook University in 2016, and an Associate of Science in Liberal Arts: Math and Science from Queensborough Community College in 2014.
Andrew is currently conducting research in Anna Devor’s Neurovascular Imaging Laboratory, where his work spans both translational and basic science. His research focuses on the synchronization of diving arteries across different cortical regions, investigating underlying mechanisms and physiological significance. Additionally, he is performing oxygen imaging in Alzheimer’s disease mouse models to evaluate the effectiveness of various interventions in preventing Alzheimer’s disease and its associated symptoms.
