Cara is a Biomedical Engineering PhD Candidate in Dr. Xue Han’s Lab. She began her PhD in 2020, and is a 2020 NSF graduate Research Fellow. Cara received her BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame in 2020 and her MS in Biomedical Engineering from Boston University in 2023. Her research utilizes cutting edge single-cell imaging techniques like calcium and voltage imaging in awake behaving mice to investigate the biochemical and biophysical effects of deep brain stimulation. She is also a founding member of the Boston University Graduate Student Neuroethics Organization.
