The SNERSCIC team educated children about the functional anatomy of the vertebral column by building models of the spine using edible items for the spinal cord, vertebrae, discs, and spinal nerves.   Children also learned about ways to avoid spinal cord injuries in their daily activities.  Spaulding’s SCI, Burn, and TBI Model Systems have participated in the event for the past five years.
