TOPIC 1:

Xenotransplantation, the transplantation of animal organs (such as pig and baboon) into humans,
provides a possible solution to the shortage of suitable human donor organs. However, although
putting a pig heart into a human may save a person in the short term, this type of transplantation
exposes mankind to new infections from animal viruses.

a) Should animal organs be used for organ transplantations into humans?
b) Should we use animals in this way?

TOPIC 2:

Cloning a human being (that is, generating a copy of an individual) is a novel and
interesting possibility that may become possible in the future.

a) Should you be allowed to clone yourself to overcome sterility?
b) Should you be allowed to clone yourself for future therapeutic reasons
(such as for blood cells, which can be gotten very quickly in time)?
c) Should parents be allowed to clone a child that has died in an accident?
d) Should a uniquely gifted person be cloned?
