An expert on the Colombian conflict, Mr. Ferry will lecture on war, human rights and the on – going Colombian peace process through the visual documentation human rights, and the prospect of peace in that war-torn country. Combining original photography with archival imagery and carefully researched text to provide a historical and eyewitness account of the war in Colombia, this work focuses on human rights and the struggle of Colombian civilians to resist the violence, often at great risk to their own lives. Violentology, is a product of ten years of photographic documentation in Colombia, and in this event, Mr. Ferry’s project will serve as a platform for discussion of the Colombian conflict.
