Please join us for a discussion about the indigenous populations in Argentina and Bolivia during the 19th century with Professor Ana Teruel. Dr. Teruel is Professor of Political, Economic and Social History of Argentina and the Americas at the Universidad Nacional de Jujuy in Argentina. She has received the Medal of Honor from the Universidad de Jujuy’s Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, among other accolades. Professor Teruel’s most recent book, Religious Missions, Economics and Society in the Chaqueña Borderlands of Northeast Argentina in the 19th Century, was published in 2005 by the Universidad Nacional de Quilmes Press.
