Mya Kelly (CAS’27) is a junior majoring in Psychology and minoring in both Applied Human Development and Entrepreneurship. At Innovate@BU, she participated in the First-Year Innovation Fellowship, Idea Incubator, the Enlight Fellowship and recently collaborated with a startup called Popple through the Innovation Pathway. Mya’s commitment to education and accessibility inspired her to found the Rise Foundation, which aims to enhance access to financial literacy and mental health resources for underserved communities. Outside of Innovate, Mya serves in the Academic Affairs department of Student Government, participates in UROP with the Higher Education Accessibility and Leadership Equity Research group, and is a member of the Sankofa Undergraduate Research Program.

The 2025 Enlight Fellowship cohort brings together ten passionate students from six different BU schools, each receiving a $10,000 stipend to intern at Boston nonprofits while developing their own social ventures. From combating human trafficking to enhancing healthcare literacy, expanding financial education access to sustainable art supply redistribution, these Fellows are addressing crucial community needs through innovative approaches and entrepreneurial thinking.
