Shannon Barry

Administrative Coordinator, BU Hub

Shannon Barry provides administrative support for the Assistant Provost for General Education and the Managing Director of the BU Hub. Shannon also schedules, coordinates, and aids in the execution of University-led faculty and staff committees including the General Education Committee of the University Council, the BU Hub Council, the BU Hub Enrollment Planning Committee and their related sub-committees.

Before coming to Boston University, Shannon worked as Customer Experience Specialist and Editorial Assistant at Applewood Books, an independent book publisher in Carlisle, Massachusetts that specializes in hand-bound and artisanal products for museums and institutions across the country. She has also worked in Heritage Public Programs at the Presidio of San Francisco where she planned and coordinated free lectures, book discussions, concerts, museum after hours gatherings, and events commemorating San Francisco’s rich and diverse history. Shannon also continues to work as a tour guide at Louisa May Alcott’s Orchard House in Concord, Massachusetts. Shannon holds a bachelor’s degree in History from Stonehill College.
