JD/MA Student
Liam Cronan is a J.D./M.A. dual degree student. He graduated with highest honors from Tufts University in History and Economics, where he specialized in colonial American history and economic history and also emphasized Classics and foreign languages in his coursework. Prior to BU, Liam worked, among other positions, as an assistant archivist with the Hingham Heritage Museum in Hingham, MA, and on the “historical interpreter” staff at the Plimoth Patuxet Museum in Plymouth, MA. As a graduate student, Liam specializes in American history, and is broadly interested in the legal and economic history of 17th and 18th-century New England, the effects of Greco-Roman history and protestant Christianity on colonial American law, and the political relationships between Dutch, English, and French colonies in what is now the northeastern United States and eastern Canada. As a law student, Liam focuses on corporate law and commercial litigation; in practice, he has interned with the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court and will be joining Ropes & Gray LLP for the summer of 2022.
