Prof. Siegel Awarded 2017 American Council of Learned Societies Fellowship

Assistant Professor of History Benjamin Siegel was awarded a 2017 fellowship from the American Council of Learned Societies for his project titled The Nation in Pain: American Bodies and Indian Pharmaceuticals in an Age of Distress. The ACLS’s stipends fund six to twelve months of full-time work on the awardees’ research projects.

History Course Featured in BU Today Article on Spring Break Cuba Trip

The one-credit course that the students took on “Experiencing Cuba: History, Culture and Politics” is cross-listed in the History Department and team taught by Professors of History and African American Studies Linda Heywood and John Thornton.

Prof. Rabinovitch Wins Luce/ACLS Fellowship in Religion, Journalism & International Affairs

Assistant Professor Simon Rabinovitch has won a fellowship funded by the Henry Luce Foundation and the American Council for Learned Societies, Program in Religion, Journalism & International Affairs. In 2017-18 he will be a resident scholar at the Northeastern University Humanities Center where he will work on his project Jewish Collective Rights: An International Comparison.
