Undergraduate History Association Holds 6th Annual Conference

Last weekend, the Undergraduate History Association held its 6th Annual Conference. This year’s theme was “Ideology.” The event was held in a hybrid format, which allowed UHA members to gather on campus or online to hear presentations and pose questions. UHA awarded three prizes during the event. Catherine Devlin took home first prize for her paper, “Beyond Black and White: Amos A. Lawrence’s complicated relationship with slavery.” Leah Schwartz was nominated for second place for her paper, “Manifest Destiny in American Thought and Culture.” And earning the prize for third place was Anna Jensen, for her paper, “The Extremism of Nazism.” Congratulations to all of our participants for a fun and stimulating conference!
