PhD Candidate Philip Rotz Publishes Article in South African Historical Journal

The South African Historical Journal recently published graduate student Philip Rotz‘s article, “Sweetness and Fever? Sugar Production, Aedes aegypti, and Dengue Fever in Natal, South Africa, 1926-27.”  Phil’s article began in Prof. Sarah Phillips’ agricultural history seminar and Profs. James McCann and Richard Pollack (then with BU’s Biology Department) offered helpful feedback.  “Sweetness and Fever” received the Graduate Essay Prize at the Southern African Historical Society’s 25th Biennial Conference in 2015.
