SECOND GLOBAL SEVENTIES CONFERENCE CONVENES IN MÜNSTER, GERMANY
A collaboration between the History Departments at Boston University, the University of Utrecht (Netherlands) and the Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universität (Germany), the Global Seventies project assembles scholars from across the globe to analyze the legacy of a pivotal decade in recent world history. The collaboration began in November 2011 with an international conference in Boston focusing on the 1970s as a decade of radical cultural and political experimentation. The second conference, focused on the “Origins and Impact of Détente,” will take place at the Zentrum für Niederlande-Studien of the Westfälische-Wilhelms-Universität, in Münster, Germany, 19 -20 April 2013.
