Project Salvador

Boston University Humphrey Alumna, Lorena Dueñas Pacheco (El Salvador, 2007-08), is working with a wonderful non-profit organization, Project Salvador. Its mission is "to aid the people of El Salvador in implementing their own vision of justice." They do so by "creating awareness in the United Stated of the plight of the marginalized in Central America and by supporting grassroots community development through funding of projects in El Salvador and marketing of fair trade crafts in the United States."

Global Leadership Forum

The US State Department hosted Fellows, staff of the Insitute of International Education, as well as numerous ambassadors and foreign dignitaries during the annual Global Leadership Forum. The highlight of the evening was an appearance by the Secretary of State, Mrs. Hillary Clinton. (click the image to view a video of her speech and read a transcript)
