Angartsetseg Sukhbaatar has over nineteen years of experience in the Mongolian banking sector. She worked in the Trade and Development Bank—one of the largest commercial banks in Mongolia—for ten years and in 2007 was assigned to the International Economic Department of the Bank of Mongolia (BOM), where she was in charge of the domestic foreign exchange market.

As a senior economist during the 2008 financial crisis, she undertook initiatives that significantly contributed to the development of new BOM policy and the stability of the economy.

Angartsetseg graduated from Moscow Academy of Management with a Master’s in economics and a Master’s in international business (MIB) from the University of Melbourne, Australia. During her Humphrey year, she wants to explore the most up-to-date developments in the banking sector and study the foreign exchange policy framework, financial markets, and new instruments.
