Designated Advisor

Advisors

The term “Advisor” generally refers to any individual selected by a Complainant or Respondent (the “Party”) to attend meetings, interviews, and similar events and to offer advice or support during the process. An Advisor may be present during interviews, meetings, investigations, informal resolutions, formal hearings, or other related events. However, EOO expects each Party to explain the facts and circumstances in their own words, not through their Advisor.

An Advisor may be an attorney, but they must still act only in the role of an Advisor during EOO proceedings. It is also recommended that an Advisor not be someone who is involved in the case as a witness.

Parties have a right to an advisor of their choice. To indicate your selected advisor, please submit an Advisor Designation Form.
