
PhD Candidate
Plinio Dias Bicalho is a Ph.D. candidate in Economics at Boston University. He is the recipient of the Seymour Harris Award (2020), the Best Second Year Paper Award (2022), and the Rosenstein-Rodan Award (2025). His research explores the macroeconomic impacts of tax policy and the political economy of interbranch government dynamics. He holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California, San Diego.
