Economics announces events for Alumni Weekend
This year is the 150th anniversary of the founding of the College of Arts and Sciences. Many departments are planning special events, including Economics. Ours are held on Friday afternoon, September 22.
From 3-4, many faculty will be holding open office hours and we welcome alumni to stop by and say hello.
From 4-5, we are holding a panel on hot topics in economics. Professor Tarek Hassan will talk about recent developments in financial markets, Professor Josh Goodman will talk about his year on President Biden’s Council of Economic Advisers, which concluded this summer, and Professor Kevin Lang will talk about his work for Governor Healey’s task force on diversity in higher education admissions. Department Chair Marc Rysman will moderate.
From 5-6, we are holding a reception. Alumni are welcome whether they participate in the earlier events or not.
