BU Prominent at ASSA 2020

Once again BU will have a strong presence at the Allied Social Sciences Association (ASSA) meetings being to be held in San Diego California on January 3-6, 2020, commonly known as the AEA meetings. This year, despite being held in just about the most remote location possible in the continental US, BU faculty, students and alumni appear 66 times, down from 87 in Atlanta last year. This comprises 50 appearances on the program as an author or coauthor, 6 as chairs, and 10 as discussants. The winner this year for the most appearances on the program is perennial activist Pascual Restrepo with 4 appearances, followed by a three-way tie between Adam Guren, Shulamit Kahn (Questrom), and Stephen Terry.

This year there are 48 distinct names appearing on the program, comprising of 28 faculty, 16 alumni (almost certainly an undercount), and four Ph.D. candidates. Of the faculty, there are 16 from CAS Economics (down from 21 last year), ten from Questrom School of Business, 1 from School of Law, and 1 from Pardee School of Global Studies.
