The Department of Economics is pleased to introduce our two new Assistant Professors.
Jean-Jacques Forneron was awarded an MA in Economics and Statistics from ENSAE, Paris Tech and an MSc in Management from HEC Paris School of Management. He received his PhD in Economics from Columbia University in May 2018. He is an econometrician with particular interest in simulation estimation with applications to industrial organization and macroeconomics. One of his skills is outstanding proficiency with computational methods.
Yuhei Miyauchi was awarded an MA in Economics and a bachelor’s degree in engineering from The University of Tokyo. He expects to receive his PhD from MIT this June. Yuhei is a trade economist with a broad set of skills and research interests, ranging from urban economics and development to the econometrics of networks. Yuhei will join our faculty in 2019 after a postdoctoral year at Stanford University.
