BU Econ hosts Green Line Macro Meeting (April 21, 2017)
Twice a year, in collaboration with Boston College’s Economics Department, BU Economics supports a local conference featuring research presentations by PhD students and junior faculty from the two departments, with discussions by senior faculty. Organized by Fabio Schiantarelli (BC) and Simon Gilchrist (BU), this Spring’s meeting featured Adam Guren (BU), “Mortgage Design in an Equilibrium Model of the Housing Market,” discussed by Jaromir Nosal (BC); Deeksha Kale (BC), “Could Expansions in Directed Lending Hurt Small Business? Evidence from a Policy Change in India,” discussed by Simon Gilchrist; and Vito Kormun (BC) and Pierre De Leo (BC), “Revisiting the Exchange Rate Response to Monetary Policy Innovations: the Role of Spillovers of US New Shock,” discussed by Robert G. King.
