Kelsey Perkins is an incredibly compassionate, thorough, LGBQ-affirming, and trauma-informed primary care provider. As a queer-identified person, she made me feel heard, supported, understood, and not rushed while discussing my health, sexuality, and experiences. From what I observed, Kelsey seemed to be very conscious about the impacts of oppression, stigma, and trauma on wellness. She took great care while performing a PAP smear and other sexual health screenings and made sure I was comfortable, informed, and grounded while doing so. As a cisgender person, I cannot directly speak to how affirming she might be with transgender and gender non-conforming patients.
