This center was recommended to me as a free community resource for mental healthcare and finding community support. The center has walk-in hours and programming for a multitude of problems that women might face, with a focus on helping survivors of trauma.

The Cambridge Women's Center is a wonderful place overall, and the Lesbian and Bi Women's Discussion Group is an excellent resource that it offers. The group meets monthly to discuss topics such as intersectionality, representation in media, body positivity, coming out to family, navigating the workplace, etc. It is open to anyone who wants to attend and the organizers strive to create as inclusive an environment as possible. The next month's topic is decided by the group at the end, and after the discussion wraps up everyone goes to dinner at Andala Coffee House, which is sometimes followed by drinks. I started going to the group when the only person I had come out to was my therapist, and it made a huge difference for me. Everyone was incredibly supportive, encouraging, and kind, and went out of their way to welcome me to the LGBTQIA+ community. Whether you are new to Boston, new to the LGBTQIA+ community, or still questioning, this is an amazing resource that will help you know that no matter what, there is always a place where you belong.
