This is how I found housing when I first moved here and it's a great way to integrate into Boston. Co-ops focus on communal living (i.e. shared meals, group outings, and common ideals), many are vegan/vegetarian, some have much lower rent than you would find otherwise, and pretty much all of them are incredibly accepting of all identities.
