I was a member of BAGLY in the 1980s, and have continued to follow their growth through the decades. As a teenager, BAGLY was vital both to my emotional development as a queer person, and also my understanding of intersectionality long before that term was coined. And as I've watched BAGLY grow over the years, I see they're still doing this important work (and broadened their scope to provide services and advocacy we could have only dreamed of in the 1980s). They are primarily a social support group, and also provide healthcare and mental healthcare services for LGBTQ+ youth.
