Coming Together for Change
The Values in Action Summit is an annual gathering of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practitioners at BU who come together to share insights about programs, initiatives, and projects happening across the University that advance BU’s stated shared values: Inclusion, Community, Integrity, Excellence, Global, Service, Collaboration, and Learning. Structured as a conference, the Summit is a space to stimulate innovation and connection in our work at BU, and for DEI practitioners to feel fortified, inspired, and supported.
The goals of the Values in Action Summit are to:
- Share and discuss practical, actionable information and resources with colleagues to adapt and implement within their own units
- Build relationships with colleagues while cultivating community through formal and informal networking opportunities
- Identify opportunities for collaboration and resource development across units
- Discuss opportunities/provide a forum to mobilize our collective power as DEI practitioners to impact and inform policy and practice
