Now Open: Learn More Series spring ’22 semester call for proposals
July 29, 2021 — Boston University Diversity & Inclusion (BU D&I) is now accepting proposals to host a spring 2022 semester Learn More Series program. The call for proposals closes on October 1, 2021. Acceptance notifications will be distributed October 15, 2021.
The Learn More Series is an annual, year-long initiative that centers on a single topic of social importance, featuring nationally renowned speakers and related programming throughout the fall and spring semesters. Our goal through the Learn More Series is to help spark new learning, catalyze important conversations between students, staff, and faculty, and provide the means by which members of our community can learn to apply theory to action. In 2021-2022, our focus for the Learn More Series will be ‘Disability.’
Learn More Series events will dive deep into the lived experiences of our community members with disabilities and the impact of ableism on our society. BU schools, colleges, academic & administrative departments, and formal or informal groups of individuals are encouraged to submit a proposal to host workshops, reading groups, panel discussions, programs that highlight research on the topic of Disability, or any other form of programming that you believe would be effective, interesting, and have potential to engage a broad range of constituents.
