Julie Anne Ruiz (they/them)

Julie is a Brandeis Alumni who was the first student worker for the university’s MakerLab, where they really started to get involved in the IT space. During their time working for the MakerLab, they focused on exposure on how innovative technology can bring a new dimension to different humanity and biological driven spaces. They worked with students and professors alike to find new solutions to existing problems.

Afterwards, Julie went on to work for different companies including Dun & Bradstreet, Apple, J&J Innovation, Johnson & Johnson, and the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. In common between all of these different positions, Julie focused on bringing top tier customer service alongside technological expertise to bring forward solutions and effective communication across multiple departments, states, and country sites when applicable.

In their free time, Julie enjoys performing and playing video games. They have an Australian Cattledog named Penny that happily takes up the rest of their time.
