Scholarships
Scholarships remain one of our greatest areas of need. While we offer both need-based financial aid and merit-based scholarships to help students manage the rising cost of tuition, the demand far exceeds our current resources. Your support can make a meaningful difference—whether through a gift to our general scholarship funds, a contribution to a specific program, or by establishing your own named scholarship.

Building Expansion and Educational Enhancements
GSDM has a long tradition of being at the forefront of technology, attracting students eager to train with the most advanced tools in digital dentistry and, increasingly, artificial intelligence. State-of-the-art facilities are central to the student experience, and thanks to ongoing renovations—most recently a major project completed in 2021—we are able to provide both students and patients with the best possible environment. These funds support building renovations, essential upgrades, and ongoing maintenance that are critical to our continued success.
- Building Expansion and Renovation Fund – naming opportunities within the building are still available*
Community Support
Our public clinic serves as a lifeline for many Bostonians who otherwise would not be able to seek oral health care. Many patients fall between the lines of private and public health coverage and we aim to make sure all patients can be treated at the GSDM clinic without barriers to treatment.
- Harold E. Newman Jr. Patient Care Fund
*If you would like to discuss a naming opportunity or opening a new fund, please contact Catie Dargue, assistant dean of development & alumni relations, for more information at 617-359-8774 or cdargue@bu.edu.
We can also provide guidance on planned giving options—such as including GSDM in your will, establishing a charitable remainder trust, or making a gift through retirement fund distributions—along with other strategies that can help you achieve both your philanthropic and tax-related goals.
