Whether you’re catching up with old friends, revisiting favorite spots on campus, or making new connections, Alumni Weekend is your chance to celebrate what it means to be part of the BU community. GSDM Distinguished Alumni Award

Douglas Schildhaus DMD 91 PEDO 93 is a pediatric dentist/owner of Woodbury Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics in Woodbury, New York. He is on the Board of Directors and a medical mission leader for Flying Doctors of America. He is also the immediate past president for the Nassau County Dental Society and chair/board of trustees member for the Nassau Academy of Dentistry.

While there is no 2026 GSDM Distinguished Alumni Awardee, this year we celebrate Douglas Schildhaus DMD 91, PEDO 93 as he accepts his 2025 Distinguished Alumni Award in person, as he was unable to last year.

Each Alumni Weekend, the BU Alumni Association and University community gather to celebrate the Best of BU Alumni Awards, recognizing esteemed alumni for their remarkable leadership and their impact on their local and global communities.
