GSDM Well Represented at 2016 IADR General Session

Boston University Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine (GSDM) was well represented at the General Session of the International Association for Dental Research (IADR), held in Seoul, South Korea, from June 22 to 25, 2016. This prestigious scientific meeting draws attendance from investigators worldwide and consists of four full days of workshops, symposia, oral and poster sessions, high profile keynote speakers, and an exhibition.
Dr. Hesham Nouh, Clinical Assistant Professor and Course Director of Predoctoral Occlusion, presented an oral presentation titled “Toothbrushing’s Effect on the Color of Extrinsically Stained Monolithic Zirconia.” Dr. Nouh served as session chair as well. He was mentored by Dr. Dan Nathanson, Professor and Chair of the Department of Restorative Sciences & Biomaterials.
Dr. Wei Chen Lu presented an oral presentation titled, “Effect of magnesium Osteogenic Differentiation on Normal Human Osteoblasts.” Dr. Chen Lu was mentored by Dr. Laisheng Chou, Professor and Director of the Division of Oral Medicine.
Dr. Andres Kaver presented an oral presentation titled, “In-Vitro Comparison of Zirconia Polishing Systems after Simulated Occlusal Adjustment.”
Dr. Jomana Alsenan presented a poster presentation titled, “Odontogenic Effect of Silicon, Calcium and Phosphorous on Normal Human Pulpal Cells.” Dr. Alsenan was mentored by Dr. Laisheng Chou, Professor and Director of the Division of Oral Medicine.
