Grand Rounds Begin With All-Inclusive Case

Neela Thirugnanam DMD 08 presented a case that spanned all areas of dentistry at the first Grand Rounds of the academic year November 14.

In her presentation, "The restoration of functional posterior occlusion considering endodontic, orthodontic and prosthodontic prognoses, " she presented ideal and alternative treatment plans for a patient she saw while on externship at Mid Upper Cape Community Health Center in Hynannis last summer. Thirugnanam considered the benefit of retreating asymptomatic teeth with prior root canal treatment and the effect of orthodontic treatment, which her patient wanted, on endodontic treated teeth.
